Heather began her career with animals in law enforcement as a correctional officer in New Mexico, but her real passion was working with directly with animals, improving their quality of life. In 2015, she was promoted to K-9 Officer. In 2018, two working dogs later, she decided to end her career in corrections and pursue her goal of becoming a Veterinary Technician. She and her family moved to San Antonio in 2018. She began in the kennel on her veterinary journey and gradually worked up to Veterinary Technician. Heather is currently in school for her Associate’s in Veterinary Technology. When not working or in school, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and four chihuahuas: Snickers, Shiloh, Scooter, and Mia. She also enjoys golf, fishing, riding her ATV, and archery.
