Nancy

Nancy interviewed with us after her previous hospital lost their one and only doctor due to an early retirement. She said she was looking for a place to call home, somewhere to lay down roots and then eventually retire. Dr. Knowlton said, “Welcome home, Nancy!” We were so lucky to have her join our team with her caring heart and 20+ years of experience!

She grew up in Alaska but has been in Texas for at least 10 years now. Nancy has a passion for educating pet owners on how to prevent disease and help their furry babies live long, happy, healthy lives. In her spare time, she assists furry friends find their forever homes and everyone in her neighborhood knows it! She always has a little project whether it be her neighbors or one of our patients needing a little TLC. She is pictured here with a patient named Tink, that had her limb amputated just after the picture was taken due to an aggressive tumor on her left front limb. Tink ended up getting an infection which was really stinky and staying in the hospital for a few days while her parents went out of town. Nancy made a nickname for little Tink and became best friends with Stinky Tinky! They had lunch together everyday Tink was in the hospital. Nancy's passion and big heart shine through! And there's a happy ending, Stinky Tinky is not so stinky anymore!
